Apple has announced its expansion in India by opening a new office in the heart of Bengaluru, further solidifying its presence in the country amidst increased local manufacturing efforts. Situated at Minsk Square, a pivotal location in the city, the new office is poised to accommodate up to 1,200 employees.

Features of the Office

Spanning across 15 floors, the office boasts dedicated lab space, collaborative areas, wellness amenities, and a Caffe Macs. An Apple spokesperson emphasized Bengaluru’s significance as a hub for various talented teams, encompassing software engineering, hardware technologies, operations, and customer support.

Focus on Innovation and Sustainability

Aligned with Apple’s ethos of fostering innovation and sustainability, the office incorporates locally-sourced materials such as stone, wood, and fabric in its interiors, complemented by native plants. It is designed to operate on 100% renewable energy, aiming for a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Platinum rating.

Apple has maintained carbon neutrality for its corporate operations since 2020 and has been utilizing 100% renewable energy across all its facilities since 2018. The new office underscores Apple’s dedication to sustainability practices and environmental stewardship.
