Empowering Men’s Health: Bonatra Secures ₹5.5 Crore in Pre-Seed Funding

Bonatra, a startup focused on men’s health and wellness, has successfully raised ₹5.5 crores in a pre-seed funding round led by ITI Growth Opportunities Fund, an early-stage venture capital firm. This investment round also saw participation from prominent angel investors such as Jitendra Jagadev, founder of Nestaway and Helloworld, and Rajesh Yabaji, founder of Blackbuck.

Bonatra’s Unique Health Approach

Founded in March 2022 by Rahul Kishore Singh (CEO), Manjari Chandra (CMO), Ramanpreet Singh (COO), and Amit Acharya (CTO), Bonatra stands out as India’s sole doctor-led IoMT (Internet of Medical Things) unified health stack solution dedicated to managing chronic diseases in men.

Rahul Kishore Singh, CEO, and co-founder of Bonatra expressed, “The incidence of lifestyle disorders in men across ages has increased over the past decade due to dietary changes and sedentary lifestyles. We founded Bonatra to empower men to proactively prevent, manage, and reverse various health conditions.”

Addressing Rising Health Challenges

The National Health Mission highlights that non-communicable diseases contribute to 60% of deaths in India, encompassing ailments like diabetes, thyroid disorders, cardiac issues, and cancer. Over recent years, the prevalence of cardio-metabolic diseases among men has surged, accompanied by high risk factors, as per Bonatra’s observations.

Male menopause, also known as andropause, brings along mood swings, reduced muscle mass, diminished libido, and lowered energy levels. Bonatra recognizes these challenges and aims to address them comprehensively.

Bonatra’s Offerings and Vision

Bonatra provides personalized lifestyle, nutritional, and fitness interventions tailored to balance hormones in men. These interventions target early andropause management, rectification of gut dysbiosis, and reduction of heavy metal toxicity within the body.

The startup boasts serving over 1000 patrons and collaborating with more than 400 doctors nationwide. Mohit Gulati, managing partner at ITI Growth Opportunities Fund, commended Bonatra’s growth trajectory, emphasizing its potential to lead in the healthcare segment.

Future Growth and Utilization of Funding

The funding infusion will fuel Bonatra’s expansion of technology and product portfolios, team augmentation, and customer base expansion. Notable investors like Satish Shetty, Anuj Bishnoi, Ankit Maheshwari, Divyanshu Anand, Ankit Agarwal, Shakeeb Anwar, Sarath Ruthvic, and others also participated in this funding round, signaling strong industry support for Bonatra’s vision and offerings.
