Crafting Tranquility: Hacienda by MuseLAB
In the vibrant heart of Coimbatore, a narrative of architectural brilliance unfolds as tradition meets modernity. MuseLAB, led by Jasem Pirani and Huzefa Rangwala, embarks on their most ambitious project yet – a haven inspired by Spanish haciendas. Situated on a sprawling 39,400 sq ft plot, the home seamlessly integrates with the city’s geography, blending Spanish influences with Chettinad architecture.
A Fusion of Traditions
Drawing inspiration from the rich architectural heritage of Spain and Mexico, the design harmonizes with Coimbatore’s tropical climate. The 12,000-square-foot residence centers around a central courtyard, connecting social areas like the pool, lounge, dining space, and family room. This layout, while inspired by Spanish haciendas, pays homage to Chettinad’s vernacular architecture, evident in the courtyard design.
Spatial Interplay and Local Collaboration
MuseLAB’s design philosophy emphasizes meaningful gestures and moments. The interplay between light and space accentuates the swimming pool, a daring project featuring a 75-foot-long vault covered in mosaic tiles. Local artists and craftsmen contribute to the home’s authenticity, infusing bespoke furnishings and handcrafted details throughout.
Timeless Sophistication and Authenticity
The residence seamlessly integrates architecture and interiors, creating a continuous journey of exploration. From the intricate decorative floors to bold expressions like flamboyant tile designs, each element adds depth and personality. As the sun sets, casting a warm glow upon the hacienda, it embodies the transformative power of creativity and connection.
A Personal Journey of Exploration
MuseLAB invites us on a deeply personal journey, where every corner tells a story and every detail whispers of possibility. This home, with its beauty and authenticity, stands as a beacon of hope and inspiration, offering a retreat reminiscent of a cherished vacation in the heart of Coimbatore.
