Yuvraj Singh Backs Nutrition-Based Healthtech Startup Wellversed

Yuvraj Singh, former Indian cricketer, entrepreneur, and investor, has recently made an undisclosed investment in the nutrition startup Wellversed. Through his venture capital firm, YouWeCan Ventures, Singh participated in funding the promising healthtech startup.

In a statement, Singh expressed the significance of maintaining a robust nutrition regime, drawing from his own experience battling cancer. He highlighted Wellversed’s innovative approach to crafting nutrition and food products, emphasizing its potential to revolutionize the nutrition ecosystem.

Established in 2015, YWC Ventures, founded by Singh, has a track record of investing in various startups, including Healthians, EazyDiner, and the renowned salon chain Naturals.

Fueling Growth: Wellversed’s Journey

With Singh’s investment, Wellversed has achieved a valuation of ₹100 crore, marking a significant milestone for the startup. Notably, the company is the proprietor of the popular keto brand Ketofy. Founded by Aanan Khurma, Aditya Seth, and Ripunjay Chachan, Wellversed has witnessed remarkable growth, boasting a staggering 250% increase in the past year alone.

Wellversed attributes a substantial portion of its revenue (40%) to direct-to-consumer sales through its website. Additionally, its products are available on leading e-commerce platforms such as Amazon and BigBasket, facilitating wider accessibility and market reach.

Future Expansion and Innovation

Buoyed by the recent investment infusion, Wellversed is poised for expansion into new markets and plans to bolster its technological capabilities and research and development efforts. The funding will enable the startup to further solidify its position in the nutrition sector and capitalize on emerging opportunities in the healthtech industry.

In summary, Yuvraj Singh’s investment in Wellversed underscores the growing interest in health and wellness startups, particularly those leveraging technology to redefine nutrition solutions. As Wellversed continues to innovate and expand its product offerings, it is well-positioned to make a significant impact on the nutrition landscape and empower individuals to prioritize their health and well-being.
